Spirit of the Holidays Dinner- December 8

Santa has his work cut out for him this year and he’s lucky to have the elves at the Beach Kids Foundation helping him out.

The Beach Kids Foundation has announced the annual Spirit of the Holidays campaign to benefit local children. The campaign will include the Spirit Auction, pancake breakfast and wrapping party as in past years.

Spirit of the Holidays focuses on the needs of children in the Fort Myers Beach area providing gifts to children and gift cards to families in need. Gifts are delivered just before Christmas by Santa and his elves aboard a Fort Myers Beach Fire District truck.

Spirit of the Holidays funds support Christmas gifts for about 100 children each year and 40+ families, as well as an Easter Egg Hunt, Beach school needs and scholarships for local children attending post-secondary education programs.

The Spirit Auction will be held at a new location this year, Sunset Beach Tropical Grill in Time Square on Tuesday, December 8th. Cocktails will begin at 5pm with dinner at 6pm and the auction beginning at 7:15pm. Dinner Auction tickets are $35 and available at Red Coconut RV Park, Century 21 Tri-Power Realty and Tri-Power Vacation Rentals.

This year a Sea Turtle YOLO Paddle Board will be raffled off. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Red Coconut RV Park, 3001 Estero Blvd, Tri-Power Vacation Rentals, 2001 Estero Blvd and Century 21 Tri-Power Realty, 3001 Estero Blvd. The raffle drawing will be held at the end of the Dinner Auction on December 8. Winner need not be present to win.

Red Coconut RV Resort will host the Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Dec 12 from 7-11am. FMB fire fighters do the cooking for this popular holiday event, so get there early!

Help is always appreciated at the Wrapping Party at Red Coconut on Sunday, December 20 at 3:00pm. All those donated toys and gifts need to be wrapped so Santa and the elves can get them to the beach girls and boys in time for Christmas.

Delivery of the gifts is handled by Santa and his elves aboard a Fort Myers Beach Fire truck sometime before Christmas Day.
