Shrimp Festival Winners


The 2017 Fort Myers Beach Lions Shrimp Festival is in the books and the big winners are the Lions charities that will benefit from the generosity of all those who attended the Shrimp Festival, though there are a few more winners to acknowledge.

Queen Pageant

The Queen Pageant crowned a new queen, Kelsey Collins, Miss Professional Gulf Lawn Service, who also was selected as Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. Other awards included:

1st Runner-Up: Mallory Smith, Miss Fish Tale Marina
2nd Runner-Up: Jordan Seavy, Miss Red Coconut
Miss Photogenic: Chloe Stam, Miss Property Medic
Miss Personality: Mallory Smith, Miss Fish Tale Marina
Most Creative Sponsor Sign: Anika Marr, Miss Trico Shrimp

Other princesses: Elsie Roper, Miss Semmer Electric and Samantha Gonnelly, Miss Holiday Water Sports.

Shrimp Fest Parade

Participants in the Shrimp Fest parade made their way through a construction zone for hopefully the last time to reach the crowds lining the streets on March 11th. Colorful, fun and unique – parade entries made the judges job difficult this year. Winners include:
