Shrimp Festival Grounds Busy All Weekend

Lynn Hall Park was bustling with activity last Friday and Saturday as the 61st Annual Fort Myers Beach Lions Shrimp Festival rolled into town. After the runners finished their 5K on Saturday morning, the Parade took over Estero Boulevard, leading thousands to Lynn Hall Park for Lions Shrimp Dinners and the Art Fair & Food Expo. The Queen Pageant on Saturday afternoon crowned a new 2019 Shrimp Fest Queen Braden Downing. The crowds returned on Sunday for the Art Fair and Food Expo, more Shrimp Dinners and more Art Fair & Food Expo, plus the Shrimp Eating Championship, which was won again by FMB Firefighter Joel Martinez, despite some serious challengers.

Lions Shrimp Dinners were a big seller both days as diners enjoyed Pink Gulf shrimp.
The beach at Lynn Hall Park was also crowded with umbrellas and those enjoying the beautiful March weekend.
