Sheena Brook Visits Beach School

Fort Myers Beach musician Sheena Brook visited Fort Myers Beach Elementary School Thursday afternoon to take part in a student assembly. Back on Fort Myers Beach after her recent appearance on NBC’s The Voice, Brook sang a few songs, shared her experience with students and answered some of their far-ranging questions like, “What did it feel like when Adam turned around?” and “What was your favorite toy when you were little?”

(Answers: “I thought he may have hit his button by mistake,” and “I mostly liked to climb trees when I was a kid.”)

Coach Heather Lodovico explained Sheena’s appearance on The Voice and took part in a ‘battle round” with students judging the winner – Sheena, all while a video of Sheena’s Voice performances played on a background screen.

Students were each given an autographed photo of Sheena and two lucky students took home guitar picks.

Also part of the assembly was the Find A Home Give A Home island pet rescue, the recipients of a month-long pet food drive held by Beach students to help feed island pets.
