Conde Nast travel magazine has named Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina to its Top Resorts in Florida list. Readers from around the world weighed in on their experiences at premier hotels and resorts on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Pink Shell ranked second on the list with a score of 96.35 out of 100, surpassing other well-known brands.

Lani Kai Island ResortLani Kai Completes Renovations

The oldest hotel on Fort Myers Beach, the Lani Kai Resort, has recently completed renovations to all waterfront rooms and the rooftop Island View Restaurant. The Island View Restaurant offers new seating options, extended event space and a cruise-ship like view. Guests in waterfront rooms now enjoy beautiful new furniture with all new beds.  Sandy and Craig Stillwell of Summerlin Jake’s Seafood & Steaks celebrated their Grand Opening recently with Fort Myers Beach Chamber Ambassadors, members, friends and family.

Summerlin Jake’s, features new American cuisine prepared in the Old Florida Tradition with a unique water view. Steaks and seafood anchor a completely new menu. Located just off Summerlin Road before the Sanibel Bridge, Summerlin Jake’s is part of Stillwell Enterprises and Restaurant Group.

The restaurant pays tribute to the rich history of Punta Rassa, where Jake Summerlin owned a wharf, using it to ship his cattle to Cuba. The local waters surrounding the wharf are also famous for being the home to big game fishing, where the first tarpon was caught on rod and reel in 1855.
