Lethal White (M GAL) by Robert Galbraith (J. K. Rowling.) is the fourth mystery thrill in the Cormoran Strike Series. The protagonists are private detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant/partner Robin Ellacott.

The back drop is the British Parliament in London and the English countryside. The books are sequential and the author claims there are at least six more installments to be anticipated. The three previous titles are available in the collection too.

Swift Vengeance (M PAR) by T. Jefferson Parker is the second mystery thriller in the Roland Ford Series. Roland Ford’s private investigation skills specifically involve a great deal of risk. This is job requirement number one for seeking a terrifyingly complex killer that is striking CIA agent victims. Roland Ford is a man with a lot of experience, police officer, Marine, and private investigation are his specialties. The first book in the Roland Ford Series, The Room of White Fire (M PAR) is also on the shelves.

Violent Crimes (M Mar) by mystery novelist Phillip Margolin is part of the Amanda Jaffe Series. Open & shut legal cases are not always as simple as they appear. Seeking truth has risks especially while sleuthing out dangerous truths. One dead attorney and one son who claims to be his father’s murder, are keeping  Detective Jaffe perplexed in this seven hour unabridged audiobook. The audio is narrated by Therese Plummer who received recognition as a 2018 Listen List Winner by the American Library Association. We also have a Large Print book of this title available.

This is his first volume in the Harry Hole Series. Detective work down under in Australia is tough gritty work; however inspector Harry Hole is the man for the job. The audiobook version is nine and half hours and the library loan period available is two weeks. A particular delight here is that the audio is narrated by John Lee who has won numerous Audie Awards and AudioFile Earphones Awards and was named a Golden Voice by AudioFile already in 2009.

The Collected Short Stories of Louis L’Amour, Volume 5 (LAM) Large Print. Many admire the classic western story teller Louis L’Amour. This is an opportunity to really get into an anthology of twenty-seven short stories. Lisa and Steve’s history includes these moments although there is so much more to their story. The author’s details will draw you into the home of young Lisa Brennan-Jobs to see Steve Jobs through the eyes of his child.

This Will Only Hurt a Little (BIO PHILLIPS) is an autobiography by Busy Philipps (Elizabeth Jean “Busy” Philipps) an American actress, writer, producer, and director. Comedy, romance, failed romance, comedy, successful romance, motherhood and more comedy, is what you will enjoy in this frank tell-all Hollywood memoir.

Eclipse Over America (523.78 ECL) is a one hour DVD brought to you by NOVA and PBS. The summer of 2017’s spectacle; the moon’s full eclipse of the sun, intrigued and mesmerized many. Astronomers and scientists did their best to gain new knowledge about solar storms and their effects on the atmosphere. The history of solar eclipse science is investigated as well.

Flourishing of Floralie Laurel (TEEN MOSS) by Fiadhnait Moser is a tale inspired by the French landscape and the secret languages of the many flowers. Monet’s famous painting garden in Giverny features as a character in its own right. The sweetness of a young girl searching for her beloved mother and the blossoming of the creative spirit are the two main themes explored.

The Day Dad Joined My Soccer Team (JE FER) written by Maureen Fergus and Illustrated by Mike Lower, teaches the golden rule in kid’s soccer league style. What does being a good sport really mean? In this picture book a young soccer player has to get his father under control before the beautiful game is ruined.
