Longing for some Christmas cookies? How about a few carols around the piano? The heat of summer will give way to the cool of the Christmas holiday inside the Fort Myers Beach Library on Thursday, July 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as they host their second annual Christmas in July Celebration. The entire community is invited to participate! Santa hats welcome, but not required!
Pick up a Christmas passport to complete to provide access to the Prize Wheel and Surprise Prize Box managed by Master of Ceremonies Mitch Pacyna. Look for Christmas cookies and punch in the third floor Community Room as you enjoy a panoramic Gulf view. While on the third floor, drop into the Friends of the Library’s Beachcomber Book Store. They will be hosting a Christmas Market and a Silent Auction with a variety of friendly animal sculptures for your home or garden.
Mrs. Claus will visit for Story Time at 10:30 a.m. to read to the children. What Christmas tale will she be sharing?
A class on Crafting with Shells by K.T. Cantlon at 10:30 a.m., will offer a chance to make a keepsake to take home with you. Class participants must sign up in advance by calling 239-463-9691.There is $7 supply fee.
The Library Café will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. offering snacks and beverages. Stop by and say hi to Kevin!
Christmas music will fill the air beginning at 11:30 a.m. as pianist Julie Wenger begins a piano recital, filled with Christmas music to put you in the holiday mood.
Browse through the creative Christmas trees, including a display of Patriotic, Vintage and Feather trees, plus vintage Christmas décor.
We all need a little Christmas as our summer days grow hotter and more humid. Stop by the Beach Library and enjoy a bit of the holiday on July 25!
