Last Call for 2016 Shrimp Princesses

The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club is getting ready for the 58th Annual Shrimp Festival and is looking for Shrimp Princesses for the Queen Pageant!  This year the Shrimp Festival will be held on March 12-13. The Queen Pageant will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 1pm. The Parade will be at 10am beginning at School Street and continuing to Lynn Hall Park and the Festival Grounds.

The Shrimp Queen Pageant is looking for young ladies ages 16-20 who are friendly, outgoing with a pleasant personality and who can serve as a Goodwill Ambassador for our area. The Pageant is not a beauty contest and there is no talent competition. The Queen Pageant offers participants a variety of fun experiences including riding atop a gorgeous Corvette convertible in the Shrimp Fest Parade, Princess gift bags, meeting new people in our community, professional photos, a variety of pageant awards, community service hours, Princess get-togethers at Bonita Bill’s, a Sunday Social with family, sponsors and Lions members. Most of all, this is a unique opportunity to be a part of one of our oldest and most beloved community traditions and support the Beach Lions in their mission to help others. The 2016 Queen will receive a $500 college scholarship.

Princess applications are accepted until Jan 31. Applications and more information can be found at or contact Pageant Coordinator Tracey Gore at 239-849-3603 or
