Salty Sam’s Pirate Cruise has announced that their Haunted Pirate Ship Halloween Party raised $5,000 for Kids’ Minds Matter, a Golisano Children’s Hospital fund that assists children with mental health and behavioral disorders and enables them to receive the proper diagnosis, treatment and the best community resources.

“This is one of our favorite events of the entire year,” says Matt Hanson, Salty Sam’s and Parrot Key owner. “It is always a treat to see guests dressed in elaborate costumes and having such a wonderful time, all while raising money for such an important cause.”

“Every family in Southwest Florida will be faced with a mental or behavioral health issue at some point and the Kids’ Minds Matter charity is giving our community the tools we need to face those challenges,” said Jodi Hanson, co-host of the event.

In addition to 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales being donated, many in-kind donations were made from around the community bringing the total donation to $5000.
