Jewel of the Bay

The Friends on the Mound House wish to extend our sincere thank you to all of our guests who joined us to kick off the holidays at our December 3rd luncheon at South Beach Grille. Manager Brad Phillips made our event special with his organization skills.

Thank you to the merchants who generously donated items for our silent auction.

These merchants include Sea Gypsy Inn, Hot Heads on the Beach, West Indies Home Collection, Local Color, Joanne Shamp, Island Jewel, Mound House, Bellisimo Salon, One Flight Up, Truly Scrumptious, Barb Hill, Best of Everything, Total Wine, Florida Rep, Interiors Unlimited, Kelly Leary, Well Kneaded Massage, Sun Hardware, Everglades Wonder Gardens, Friends of Lovers Key, Beacha Pizza, Island Fit, Attitude Nail Salon, Leani’s, Pete’s Time Out, Santini Florist,

Sea Shell Company, Skye’s, Gifts By the Sea, Shangri La, Gratitude Salon, Nail spa, Hair by Ollie, Terra Nostra, Publix, Pet Grooming, Charlie’s Boathouse, Skippers Liquors, and Alison Giesen. Barbara Hill, immediate past president made our raffle sizzle.

A special thank you to Anita Cereceda who generously donated a gourmet dinner at her home for 6. Maureen Rischitelli conducted the “lively” live auction for this item. She proved an excellent auctioneer for the many diverse educational programs at the Mound House. Jim Giesen “rallied” the guests to obtain 2 groups of 6 to share in this dinner adventure.

This event would not be possible without the hard working officers and board of the Friends on the Mound House: Becky Werner, president, Marty Senegal vice president, secretary Joyce Heckman; members at large Ceel Spuhler, Betty Simpson, Dan Hughes, Catherine Wallace, and Mutzi Prasse.

We so appreciate your dedication to our Mound House; it is our “jewel on the bay.”
