I have known Dr. Jane Kuckel for 36 years, first meeting her when I was a new teacher in the Wayne-Westland School District in Michigan. Jane was the Assistant Superintendent at that time and served as a mentor to me and countless other aspiring teachers and administrators. Our careers crossed paths again when I moved to Lee County and began working as the Principal of Fort Myers Beach Elementary ten years ago. She continued to inspire me to always “do what is best for students.”
Jane Kuckel is an outstanding educator, having previously served 12 years as a Lee County School Board Member. During her tenure, the District showed continuous improvement culminating in an “A” grade from the State of Florida Department of Education. She is currently seeking the District 6 at-large School Board seat to help return our School District to prominence.
Dr. Kuckel is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about education and learning at all levels from pre-kindergarten through high school and beyond. She has taught University level courses that focused on Educational Administration and Organizational Leadership. I learned from her that a collaborative style of leadership is the most effective and believe that her skills and knowledge in that area are sorely needed on the School Board.
I strongly urge you to consider electing Dr. Jane Kuckel for the Lee County School Board District 6 seat. Our children deserve the best!
