Islanders Show Their Stuff at FMB’s Got Talent Competition

Mother Nature provided the beautiful day, visitors and residents the amazing audience that overflowed into the parking lot and seven talented islanders gave it everything they’ve got at last Saturday’s Fort Myers Beach’s Got Talent Competition.

“How great to be able feature the fantastic talent on Fort Myers Beach for the 2016 FMB Got Talent event!” said organizer Bonnie Roberts. “Thank you Al and Kathy Durrett for hosting this 5th Annual fun event at Santini Marina Plaza!”

Then the competitors took the stage, wowing the audience with a mix of harmonica, original music, love songs and even a karate kata performed by the young Hux Hoffman. Judges Dee Platt, Jo List, Keri Weeg and Vinnie Titus had their hands full but in the end, a country singer from Texas and new island resident Kala Garcia won the day with her powerful vocals.
