Intelligent Wildlife

42

I was staying in FMB the week before the Sand Sculpting Championship, and the week during the amazing event.

Reading The Island Sand Paper, I read about the opposition to the boardwalk on the south end of the beach. (“Split Council Denies Boardwalk,” Island Sand Paper, November 22, 2019) This boardwalk would be across a large pond (next to) an area designated as a wildlife area.

Respecting nature is a really good thing and I would think the few homeowners who would be using this boardwalk would not be harming wildlife.

I walked down to the pond, on the beach, and it seemed to me that a well-designed boardwalk for a few older homeowners, would not be a problem for the wildlife. The wildlife around there are intelligent enough to avoid being harmed.
