Hit & Run

163

I would think that most residents and visitors to Fort Myers Beach are concerned with traffic safety. On Monday, March 21 there was a hit and run incident at Santini Plaza. Paramedics and police were called to the scene. The vehicle that left the scene after injuring a pedestrian was a red and white, Lincoln convertible possibly a 1950’s or 1960’s model with antique or historical tags. At the time the vehicle had very large W’s on the door panels. The W’s may have been related to Wisconsin University who were playing in the NCAA basketball tournament at the time. Immediately prior to the incident the vehicle had let several people out in the Santini Plaza parking lot. The vehicle has since seemingly disappeared but previously had been seen on a regular basis in the Lenell Road, Estero Boulevard area. If you have any information about this vehicle please contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (239-477-1000). Let’s all do our best to keep the area safe.
