Mike Yost, the host narrator for the Fort Myers Beach Haunted Pub Crawl, recently presented a $100 check to the Estero Island Historic Society (EIHS) in gratitude for their sharing Fort Myers Beach history with him. Receiving the check for the Historic Society at the EIHS Historic Cottage were, from left, Ann Alsop and Fran Santini. The Historic Cottage, located at 161 Bay Rd., at the entrance to the Matanzas Pass Preserve, holds an Island museum with a collection of artifacts, photos and memorabilia of life on Estero Island. The Historic Cottage is open every Wednesday from 10am – noon.
The EIHS will hold their first meeting of the season on Monday, November 18 at 7pm at St. Raphael’s Church, 5601 Williams Dr. A guest speaker will discuss the Koreshan Unity. Cookies and punch will be served. Attendance is free, but donations are welcomed.
