Members of the Estero Island Historic Society welcomed friends, neighbors and interested visitors to their 25th annual Holiday Open House last Saturday.
Visitors were impressed with the new window panel project depicting island history from the Calusa Indians to the 2000’s. The Cottage is open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday from 10am-noon.
The Historic Society offers free public presentations on topics related to island history monthly at the Beach Library.
On January 7th at 7pm, Park Ranger Norm Zambrano of the Koreshan State Historic Site will speak on Koreshan history on the island, including their property, presence and influence.
All are welcome.
