Restoration and recovery

Hello Fort Myers Beach, San Carlos Island and surrounding communities.

It’s exciting to deliver you this message as our community begins the various phases of restoration and recovery from the global pandemic, COVID-19. I would like to thank our residents and business owners for the fantastic work you have done exercising caution and observing guidance through this constantly changing environment. As activities and services in our community are cautiously restored, we know how critical glimpses of normalcy are for our residents, and business community alike. We look forward to providing continued support to the Town of Fort Myers Beach and various government entities while working through this process.

We also recognize, as your emergency public health provider, adjustments made throughout the community may have an impact on our services. As we collectively navigate through the events in our future, and to ensure our continued response capability, our organization will be employing a conservative and strategic approach in altering any provisions put in place.

We encourage you to continue heeding guidance from public health professionals as you choose to alter your activity. We also encourage you to continue using the 911-system for emergencies, rather than visiting our fire stations in person. As always, I assure you, the members of the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department stand ready to serve each and every day.

If you have questions about our services or if we can assist you, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or visit our website. Thank you for your continued support and guidance as we ensure service to our community and safety for your first responders!
