The 11th Fort Myers Beach Film Festival began Wednesday, April 24 with Film Festival Chair Carla Mandel cutting the ribbon at the Beach Theater surrounded by filmmakers, producers, directors and actors whose work is part of this year’s festival. The Film Fest continues through Sunday, April 30. Friday night a free family film, ‘Moana,’ will be shown at the Mound House beginning at 7:30pm or dusk. Film screenings are offered every day through Sunday featuring feature films, documentaries and short films. Friday and Saturday films will be shown at 3, 6 & 9pm. Tickets are $7 each. Filmmaking workshops are offered on Friday and Saturday at 11am. On Sunday the Awards Ceremony will be held at Fish Tale Marina at 2pm, with screening of the top winning films afterwards at the Beach Theater.
