Fort Myers Beach Chamber Business Expo

Eclectic Expo

Fort Myers Beach is a unique eclectic Town, and its business community shares those traits. Experience this yourself at The Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Business Expo 2017 on Thursday, January 19, at the Walmart Store at 17105 San Carlos Boulevard from Noon to 5 p.m. All Chamber members, non-members, and the general public receive free admission.

“The Expo is a prime showcase that displays the breadth of the businesses on our island,” comments Chamber President Jacki Liszak, “because we are not just one type of business but a wide variety. The Business Expo is a nice representation of our total membership, and this years’ companies are a great cross-section.”

There are currently over 30 business that will participate, including Realtors, marinas, hotels and resorts, party planning services, non-profits like Make-A-Wish and Find a Home; Give a Home for island pets, the Fort Myers Beach Art Association, wellness companies like Life Vantage, the MIROMAR Outlets, and Fish Tale Marina. “Make sure to visit the K9 Unit from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office,” reminds Jacki, “and check out the fascinating trash bin cleaning service truck from Spiffy Bin.”

Jacki notes that “Expo participants receive business incentives, door prizes, discounts, and giveaways, with grab bags for the first 100 people. Each business will have giveaways each hour, with gifts and general raffles at many booths for prizes like hotel stays and restaurant cards. These are excellent promotional items everyone will love.”

“The Expo is one of the Chamber’s signature events, and an exceptional forum to bring together our business and residential communities,” said Jacki. “The cool part is this is a true community gathering that raises our island’s profile with networking and business-building opportunities. Walmart is a wonderful sponsor, and its manager, Jim Abny, is innovative and awesome!”

Registration closes on Tuesday, January 17; booth cost to Chamber members is $125, with nonmembers at $175 and non-profits just $75. Provide your own 10×10 tent, table, chair, and fire extinguisher; there is no electrical service; and bring one door prize per hour for raffles. You may conduct sales, with the Expo providing refreshments and live music. For information call Rhonda Murray at the Chamber at 239-454-7500; to download a registration form go to
