There will be strikes and spares galore at the 6th annual “Bowling Bash” Fundraiser for the Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, July 18, at the Beach Bowl Lanes at 17651 San Carlos Boulevard.
“There are two times frames, 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.,” said Jacki Liszak, the FMB Chamber Executive Director. “A team of four or five is just $75, individual bowlers $14, and the gallery $10. Register with the FMB Chamber by Tuesday, July 16, so we can tell the Beach Bowl team names and rental shoe sizes, but if can join us at the last minute, come over as I bet we can find you a spot!”
The Chamber encourages all to dress in costume, to add to the fun. “This year’s theme is ‘Into The Jungle,” said Jacki with a laugh! “Dress in some sort of jungle outfit, as we know several will be tremendously elaborate! Doors open at 4 p.m., with light appetizers and Cash Bar. You receive your bowling shoes and everyone throws two games. When we finish, we combine both time frames and award prizes to the three highest team scores and the top individual bowler. Spend a few extra dollars on Raffle Tickets, to win gift certificates to restaurants, bars and attractions, as well as hotel stays, bottles of alcohol and other wonderful prizes from our members.” To reserve your spot, call the FMB Chamber at 239-454-7500 or see fortmyersbeach.org.
“The Bowling Bash is such great fun,” raved Jacki! “For $50, hang a banner to promote your business. The evening is very upbeat and fantastic for networking, and the ‘Beach Bowl’ has terrific air conditioning!”
Jacki reminded Islanders that the Thursday, July 11 Chamber Luncheon features Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) Executive Director Tamara Pigott “who explains how the VCB can improve your business This is at Charley’s Boathouse Grill at 6241 Estero Boulevard from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $25 for Chamber members and $30 non-members. Make sure you have the ‘Roar Offshore’ Powerboat Races on your calendar also, with activities from Thursday, October 10, through Sunday, October 12, as this is shaping up to be one of the great events in FMB history! For now, Jungle Book your team into the Bowling Bash and swing in on July 18 for a roaring good time!”
