Here are two photos I took of an endangered species, an American Flamingo, at Bunche Beach. This is a rare sighting indeed. They are normally seen in Florida Bay where there is a small flock. Their diet consists of blue green algae, diatoms, insect larvae, and small fish and shellfish. Adults acquire their pink pigmentation due to this diet. Hope your readers enjoy.
