It’s time for the annual celebration of life known as Fat Tuesday and The Cottage and the Beach Bar at Gulfshore Grill are ready with an all-day party.
Mardi Gras, French for “Fat Tuesday” marks the final day of Carnival Season. Having it’s origin in Catholic countries of Europe and Latin America, Carnival season, beginning after Epiphany in early January, became the season for feasting, fun and dancing before the fasting and penance of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday. Well known for its dozens of Carnival parades, New Orleans is arguably the American capital of Mardi Gras. But Islanders don’t have to go any further than downtown Fort Myers Beach to find the fun of Mardi Gras!
The Cottage and Beach Bar at GulfShore Grill will host their all-day 10th Annual Fat Tuesday John Donovan Benefit on Tuesday, February 28th. Starting with live music at 2pm and running until 1am, the fun will roll all day with Cajun food and drink specials, raffles, beads and more! The beneficiary of this year’s party is the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Live Music will be provided by Steve Farst, 2 Crooked Steps, The New Vinyls, Charlie Moon and The Bad Banditos.
Laissez les bon temps roulez!
