Dolphin Ruby takes a leap of faith in the back bay recently in this photo by photographer, author and Fairy “Pod Mother “ Monica Lynn, who will give a presentation on our local dolphin pod and her book, “A Letter From Clarence O’Malley: A Dolphin’s Tale” at the annual meeting of the Friends of the Beach Library on Monday, January 27 at 5:30pm in the 3rd floor conference room at the library. Also speaking at the Friends meeting will be Mary-Ann Tirone Smith, author of several novels, including “Girls of a Tender Age.” Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Friends of the Library runs the 3rd floor bookstore and four book sales each year. Volunteers for both are always welcome! Call 239-233-8173 and leave your name and number.

As a special incentive this month, the Friends will hold a raffle for a $50 Doc Ford’s gift card. All new and renewing members will be entered. Friends membership begins at $15/year for an individual.
