Dan Allers, Town Council Candidate Announcement

This past year has been one of the most enjoyable and enlightening periods in my life. It was a little over a year ago that I began a campaign for a position on Town Council. While my first attempt at office didn’t end with a spot on the Council, I was proud to have been a top vote-getter in 2 of the 3 voting districts on the Island. It reinforced in me that my core values, my willingness to listen and my commitment to the future of the island is not misplaced. So, that is why I am officially announcing my candidacy for Town Council 2020.

I continue to be an active Ambassador for the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed to the Town Council’s Local Planning Agency. During my term on the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Advisory Board we developed a forward-leaning strategic plan, responsive to the needs of our residents and visitors. I look forward to discussing the value of this and many more important initiatives facing our island.

Although I took some time away from the campaign trail this summer to marry my beautiful wife Megan Zelenak, I will soon once again be knocking on your door to listen to your vision for the future of our island, share my observations and asking for your support.

My name is Dan Allers and I am running for Town Council 2020.
