Community Cooperative Seeks Volunteers

Meals on Wheels, The Soup Kitchen & Food Pantries

Community Cooperative will soon see a 40 percent drop in its volunteer manpower as seasonal residents head back north.

““We actually get busier during the summer months when kids are out of school so the need for help increases at the same time we lose a significant pool of volunteers”, said Tracey Galloway, CEO of Community Cooperative.  “ We are seeking volunteers to assist with Meals on Wheels deliveries, kitchens and food pantries, gardening, or anyone who wants to help make a difference in our community.”

Meals on Wheels delivery routes are all over Lee County so volunteers can be assigned to routes convenient to home or work. The Soup Kitchens and Community Markets are located near downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach while Mobile Food Pantries are held at locations throughout Lee County.
