The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation, with Keep Lee County Beautiful and the Ocean Conservancy, invites all Islanders to join them in participating in International Coastal Cleanup Day! Meet at Fort Myers Beach Elementary School, 2751 Oak Street, Fort Myers Beach, at 9am on Saturday, September 17, 2016 to pick up supplies before heading to the beach. Volunteers are urgently needed. Help clear our beaches of marine debris that threatens wildlife.
Trash bags, gloves, cold soft drinks and snacks will be provided for all volunteers at 9am at the school. Clean up efforts continue until noon. Be part of the solution and help keep our bit of paradise clean!
Other area beaches that are part of International Coastal Cleanup Day include Bunche Beach, Dog Beach and Lovers Key Event Field. Learn more about it and sign up at klcb.org or email Trish@klcb.org.
