Clarice M. Workman, Jr. “Bugsy”, 90 of Fort Myers Beach, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. Born in Peterstown, West Virginia, August 16, 1926, he was the son of Clarice M. and Beatrice M. Workman (Bailey).
Bugsy graduated from Princeton, High School (Princeton, WV) in 1944. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He worked as an engineer for the state of New Jersey for years on roads and high rise projects.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Workman of Powder Springs, Georgia, a daughter, Pamela (Eugene) Fink of Flat Top, West Virginia, two grandsons, Kenny and Sean Workman also of Georgia, a brother Thomas (Juanita) Workman of Princeton, West Virginia, a sister Ailene Myers of Balch Springs, Texas, a sister-in-law Grace Workman and good friend Sandy Trammell.
Bugsy is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Arlene McPherson and Eloise Myers, brothers Johnny and Joe Workman.
A memorial service was held April 6th at the American Legion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on the beach behind the Mermaid Lounge at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017.
