An Island tradition since 1974, Charley’s Boathouse Grill is launching something new, a Sunday brunch called “Bubbles, Benedict & the Beach.” Known for their evening steaks, seafood and ribs, Charley’s will be open on Sundays for brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning this Sunday, January 8 and continuing through Mother’s Day. They invite Islanders to welcome Sunday morning with a glass of Champagne, a Mimosa or Bloody Mary and enjoy their Greens ‘n Things salad bar, along with prime rib, shrimp, eggs benedict and more. SunStream Hotels & Resorts has announced that DiamondHead Beach Resort has completed a $2.5 million renovation of their suites, the final phase of a collection of resort-wide enhancements. The newly renovated suites feature modern décor that reflects casual island elements and their familiar charm. The renovations include new tile floors, granite counters, walk-in showers, modern cabinetry, which combined, offer guests brighter accommodations. The latest round of Best Western awards are in and Fort Myers Beach Best Western Plus Beach Resort has brought home multiple awards, a habit resort managers Tim and Jeff Malbon have developed. This year, the cousins, who run the resort with other family members, earned their fourth consecutive M.K Guertin Award, Best Western’s highest honor for the fourth year in a row (shown above). Their FMB Resort was the only Best Western in Florida to earn the award this year. The Malbon’s also brought home the Champion Customer Care Award, their sixth one. Best Western includes over 4,100 independently owned properties; Tim Malbon sits on the Best Western Board of Governors for the group, which has recently undergone a rebranding campaign. Tim commented on why the resort consistently wins customer service awards, “We’re very hands on and in tune with guests’ needs, looking for the guests to have the best experience they can.
