Beach Kids Christmas!

The Fort Myers Beach Kids Foundation finished out the year with a spectacular Spirit of the Holidays Auction Dinner and our Firemen Pancake Breakfast event raising enough money to buy the wish list of 57 area kids. With the help of so many volunteers we bought and wrapped all gifts and on December  21, the wonderful FMB Fire department, with horns and lights blaring, brought gifts to every child on our lists. Major good guys who really care about our community! How lucky are we all! The foundation with the help of the Kiwanis gave food cards to every family, and as  Santa was handing out presents, Mrs. Claus was handing out the Gift Cards from the big red truck.

Parents were so grateful. Also with the help of Hammerhead Gym clients, the Foundation was able to buy every grade at our Beach School brand new desks for every child. The principal said old desks were there forever and they are all really happy.

In 2020, the Beach Kids Foundation will be giving out once again the Golden Coconut award to Teacher of the Year and a check to the teachers to help them in their classrooms. We have so many folks to thank this year who attended all events and gave time and money and donations to our children. We have so many businesses that are our backbone and reach deep into their pockets and are faithful every year and without them we couldn’t do it all. Thanks to the Sheriff’s Dept who participated in the gift giving, making sure the parade route was safe. The firemen calendars are still for sale with all proceeds going to the foundation for area children. If you haven’t got yours be sure to stop by Century 21 or Red Coconut to pick one up.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
