    The Friends of the Beach Library are planning their last book sale of the season on SA Mar 19 from 9:15am-12:30pm in the shade of the parking garage. Volunteers are still needed to assist with packing books up after the sale on Nov 19. Call 239-765-8162 to volunteer.

    Learn more about the shrimping industry from the Ostego Bay Working Waterfront Tour, offered every WE from 9am-noon, weather permitting. Learn about “Pink Gold” and the oldest and largest shrimping fleet in Florida.     The 10th annual Fort Myers Beach Film Festival will be held April 20-24, 2016. The festival will be screening previous winners, newly released films and a few sneak peeks at films that will be released in 2017.     The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation will present their Spring Luncheon Fashion Show, “Friends, Fun & Fashion” on SA March 19 at 11am at South Beach Grille. Fashions by Local Color.     The Friends of Lovers Key (FOLKS) and Rotary Club of Bonita Springs will sponsor the Lovers Key Nautical Flea Market and Boat Show from 9am-5pm FR Mar 18 – SU Mar 20 at Lovers Key State Park featuring nautical exhibitors selling arts, crafts, clothing, fishing and cruising equipment as well as boat dealers. Food available plus a beer garden. Suggested $5 donation to enter. Proceeds benefit FOLKS and the Rotary Club. Vendor space available.



    The Caribbean Car Show will be held two Monday’s in March and April. Cruise on over to Salty Sam’s on MO 21st and Apr 4th and 18th from 5-7pm. The show includes hot rods, custom trucks and classic cars. Free and open to the public. 239-463-3257.

    The Friends of the Arts (FOA) Boat Barn Concert Series continues on TH, Mar 24, when the Jazz-Matics featuring Lynn Richardson take to the stage with a smooth jazz show you won’t soon forget. On TH, Apr 7 Jo List & Friends bring their popular show back to the Barn with Joe McConaghy on keyboards, singer/songwriter Michael Oakland on guitar, Bill Rountree on bass and vocals and percussionist Carveth Clauson. Tickets are $25/concert and are available now at the Fish Tale Marina office.



    All are welcome to the Chapel by the Sea Annual Easter Party on SA Mar 26th at 10am. Open to children ages 2-5th grade with games, crafts, egg-dying and an Easter Egg Hunt. On Easter Sunday Chapel by the Se will offer an Easter brunch served between the 8and 10 am services, with an Easter Hat Parade after the 10am service.



    Like classic cars? Then you will love the 5th Annual Santini Marina Plaza Classic Car Cruise In & Snowbird Celebration on SA April 2. This fun day at Santini Plaza will include Corvette, Classic and Antique Divisions-come show off your car! The day will include a Fresh Market and 40 vendors featuring handmade and homegrown specialties plus the Restaurants of Santini and a DJ spinning tunes and dancin’ in the street!     The Friends of Matanzas Pass Preserve will conduct its monthly “By the Light of the Moon” program on WE Mar 23 beginning at 7:10pm. Awaken and sharpen your sense of smell, touch, hearing and night vision as you join two volunteers with candlelit lanterns as they guide you through the Preserve by the light of the moon.     The Fort Myers Beach Art Gallery is now open 7 days a week at Donora & Shellmound, behind Fire Station 31. MO-SA 10am-3pm; SU Noon-3pm. The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is a long-standing, member-operated not-for-profit art association. New members are always welcome. The Gallery is open to all with free admission.
